This Guy Couldn’t Find A Date To School Prom, So He Took His Cat
This guy couldn’t find a date to school prom, so he took his cat.
Well, this is definitely an interesting couple. I’m not saying that they don’t look good, or at least happy, together.
I’m just saying that seeing them together is confusing me to no end. Meet Sam Steingard and his prom date from last year, Ruby the cat.
Yeah, that’s not a joke. Last year Sam decided to take his pet cat, Ruby, to the school prom.
The family even went as far as buying Ruby her own prom dress. The cat has been with Sam and his family for the past ten years, when she was first found outside a Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant (hence the name).
Ruby grew up alongside Sam and his sister Caroline, and the three are very closely bonded now.
Caroline says that when she was younger Ruby would walk with her to school, and would also show up every day after school to escort her home.
But Ruby’s absolute favorite person in the world is Sam, and that’s not just because he hooks her up with sweet prom dates.
Sam always gives Ruby extra care and attention. He’s recently come back home from college for the summer, and in the short time that he’s been home he’s built Ruby her very own cat fort.
And she prefers it over her specialized, store-bought cat bed!
Sam and Caroline both say that they miss their cat very much while they’re both away at school, and who doesn’t?
Leaving behind your pet is one of the hardest parts about moving out of the house. But they make sure to come and visit often!
