Driver Ran Into The Traffic To Save A Bobcat. But When He Took Her To The Vet? OMG.
Driver ran into the traffic to save a kitten Bobcat. But when he took her to the vet? OMG.
They saw a kitten huddled in the middle of the road. The kind people stopped the car, and the driver ran into traffic to scoop the little Bobcat.
It wasn’t long before they realized this wasn’t just a regular kitten. She was a wild cat – who had a feisty nature and a short tail; a bobcat!
The little bobcat had gotten separated from her mom and found herself in the middle of the road.
Good Samaritan turned her into a clinic, and Big Cat Rescue in Tampa Florida came and picked her up.
A representative from Big Cat Rescue said that handling the feisty kitten is difficult, and that is the way they want it.
She needs to think of humans as the enemy and not get too comfortable being handled (if she is going to survive in the wild). She is in good shape other than being a little underweight.
When an animal’s natural habitat is developed due to urbanization, the animals will relocate. During the move, the young babies are likely to get separated from their mothers.
The bobcat was named Spirit Feather. Feather was in tribute to a beloved bobcat the Rescue had named Little Feather.
Little Feather, 23-years-old had been humanely euthanized due to failing health. The group added Spirit – because this little kitty has plenty of it!
Spirit Feather will stay at Big Cat Rescue for about three months, then she will be released.
She naps with her stuffed squirrel and has plenty of cardboard boxes to play with. Big Cat Rescue works to educate the public about big cats. Share away, people.
